Appointment bribe case: Lenin Raj seeks anticipatory bail

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lenin Raj, the accused in the case of appointment of homeopathic doctor in AYUSH department in Malappuram, approached the District Principal Sessions Court seeking anticipatory bail. He was named as accused by the Cantonment Police in the case of extorting money from the daughter-in-law of Haridasan, a native of Malappuram, by offering her a job in the AYUSH Mission. Co-accused CITU leader Akhil Sajeev mentioned Lenin Raj's name in an interview on a private channel. His claim is that he has nothing to do with the case and Haridasan gave the money to Akhil Sajeev. Shastamangalam S Ajithkumar appeared for the accused.
