Ayya Vaikunda Swamikal memorial to come up in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bala Prajapathi Adikalar, a sixth-generation descendant of the Vaikunda Swamikal clan, has been assured by the Chief Minister of a suitable memorial in the capital city for the social reformer and spiritual leader Ayya Vaikunda Swamikal.

Adikalar, the head of the Kanyakumari Swamithoppu mutt, founded by Ayya Vaikunda Swami, met with the Chief Minister on Wednesday and held discussions.

Writer and teacher at Kanyakumari Vivekananda College, Dr. R. Sharma, author and Kerala Navodhana Samrakshana Samithi general secretary, P. Ramabhadran, also participated in the discussion. The Chief Minister said that discussions will be held with organisations that follow the Swami's ideas regarding the design of the memorial.
