ksrtc-

THRISSUR: Amala Hospital has announced it will provide free follow-up treatment to the woman, who gave birth in a KSRTC super fast bus at Peramangalam, and her newborn baby. Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar also handed over a gift to the lady. 36-year-old Serena, wife of Lijeesh and native of Thirunavaya gave birth yesterday afternoon in a KSRTC bus, which was going from Angamaly to Thottilpalam.

The incident happened at 1 pm on Wednesday. When the bus reached Peramangalam, fully pregnant Serena, who was alone in the women's seat, felt labour pains. As soon as Serena told the conductor, Ajay, the bus was stopped. They tried to get an autorickshaw, but in the meantime, the baby had started coming out. With this, they decided to take Amala to the hospital by bus. As it was a regular route, the driver and conductor knew the location of the hospital.
