THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Black dress is banned in programme attended by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan. The school authorities issued a circular banning black dress in the programme hosted at Thiruvananthapuram Bishop Pereira Hall and attended by the governor. The governor is participating in the school's annual celebration event on December 18.

Governor Arif Mohammed Khan will inaugurate the event. The parents of students in the school have the opportunity to participate in the event. However, the circular says that parents should avoid wearing black dress on that day. The circular has already stoked a controversy.

Meanwhile, the governor has also come forward with an explanation for the ban on black dress. The governor's response was that students in the school have uniforms. He said that he will examine if there are any complaints. It is believed that the circular was issued with the governor's security in mind.
