Brawl breaks out between two police officers in Kottayam over trivial reason; one injured

KOTTAYAM: The Chingavanam Police Station in Kottayam on Saturday witnessed an incident that brought shame to the entire police force. A clash occurred between two police officers at the station, after which one had to seek treatment at the hospital. It is reported that the clash broke out between the officers following a dispute over parking the bike.

One Civil Police Officer sustained a head injury in the incident. The incident took place on Saturday afternoon. According to sources, the dispute began after one CPO parked his motorbike at the spot where the other CPO regularly parks his motorbike. The dispute soon turned into a brawl. Both officers have been suspended from service pending investigation.

The injured CPO is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kottayam. The incident has become a big embarrassment for the police force. The district police chief has sought a report from the Changanassery DySP regarding the incident. The SP said that strict action would be taken against the culprits in the incident.
