THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dr Haris Chirakkal has now replied to the show cause notice received from the health department for his responses over the crisis in the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. He replied by denying the allegations in the notice. He clarified that he cannot use the equipment purchased by another doctor.
He said that he just informed the authorities about the equipment shortage and had not tried to defame the government. Haris had exposed some of the problems at the medical college through social media a few days ago, which led to a major controversy.
Harris had levelled serious allegations against his colleagues the other day. His response was that Kerala stood by him when he voiced for the patients, but his colleagues betrayed him. He shared his emotional anguish in the WhatsApp group of the Kerala Govt Medical College Teachers Association (KGMCTA).
Haris' response was that the eagerness shown to send their colleague to jail should be recorded in the history of the medical college. Haris ended the note by saying that time should forgive those who tried to make him take the extreme step for a few silver coins. 'Portrayed me as a thief in front of the world. Tried to crucify me. Tried to mislead even after knowing that he was under treatment. Did not seek any explanation over the phone or in person. Was annoyed by those he had seen, studied with and worked with for more than 30 years. Did not think that they would stab me from behind,' Harris added in the note.
