THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inquired about the health condition of former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy who was admitted to the hospital. Chief Minister sought information by calling the family members. He informed that Health Minister Veena George will be sent to the hospital tomorrow. Oommen Chandy was admitted to Nims Hospital in Neyyattinkara due to severe fever.
Oommen Chandy's brother had come forward with an accusation that he was denied treatment. 42 relatives, including his brother, submitted a petition to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan asking for immediate intervention to prepare expert treatment. The relatives approached the chief minister after the family denied permission to visit Oommen Chandy at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram. Apart from the Chief Minister, the relatives also submitted a petition to Health Minister Veena George. The petition was signed by Oommen Chandy's younger brother Alex V Chandy.
