Class 6 student found hanging at home in Palakkad

PALAKKAD: A class six student was found hanging inside her house in Palakkad on Friday. Chittur 5th Mile native Anamika, daughter of the Vadivelu-Ratika couple, died in the incident. The girl was found hanging on a saree inside her house. Anamika is a class 6 student at Victoria Girls Higher Secondary School, Chittur. Police have reached the spot and started inquest proceedings.

There is still ambiguity surrounding the death. A case of unnatural death has been registered, and an investigation has been initiated into the incident.

The police will investigate possible scuffles or arguments at school that might have badly affected Anamika. The police will also examine whether the child was experiencing any mental difficulties. In the recent past, suicide rates have been skyrocketing in the state. Most of the victims are teens.
