Construction worker trapped under collapsed wall rescued in Kochi

KOCHI: In a big sigh of relief, a worker trapped under the rumbles of a protective wall, was finally rescued after hours of operation. The incident took place in Kochi Kakkanad on Tuesday afternoon.

During the construction, the protection walls collapsed and fell on the worker's body. The worker’s body below the torso went beneath the rumbles and remained stuck. The locals intervened and tried to bring the worker out but to no avail. After some hours of arduous work by the fire force department, the soil was removed and the workers were brought to safety. The worker was rushed to a private hospital nearby where his condition is said to be stable.
