ALAPPUZHA: A container was washed ashore at Valanjavazhy Kakkazham beach near Ambalappuzha in the district. A lifeboat has also been washed ashore at Paravoor Arappapozhi. Wan Hai 503 has been written on it and so it is sure that it is from the ship that caught fire. It is not clear where the container that washed ashore in Alappuzha is from. It is believed that it may be from Singapore ship Wan Hai. The local fishermen informed the authorities about it. The investigation has not started yet.

The explosion occurred on the Singapore ship Wan Hai 503 last Monday at sea, 44 nautical miles away from the Azhikkal port in Kannur. The ship was brought to a depth of over 1,000 meters 50 nautical miles off the Kerala coast last day, which alleviated concerns. Although the smoke in the ship has not completely gone, the fire was brought under control. Two tugs are being used to tow the ship and efforts are underway to put out the fire. The ship has been examined but the four missing crew members have not yet been found.

The coast guard and navy brought the ship to safety after a week-long rescue mission. The mission is to extinguish the fire and prevent the fire from spreading to the fuel tank by cooling the steel frame. The ships of the coast guard, navy and aircraft are trying to douse the flames.
