Cooking gas prices hiked; commercial cylinder price rises by Rs 49

KOCHI: The price of commercial cooking gas cylinders has been increased. The price of a 19-kg cylinder has gone up by Rs 49, taking the new price to Rs 1747. The price hike will directly affect those in the food sector, including restaurants, bakeries, and catering businesses. However, there is no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders.

Cooking gas prices are revised on the 1st and 15th of every month. Oil marketing companies revise prices every month, based on changes in international crude oil prices, tax norms, and supply-demand factors.
