Cop hangs self in police station

ALAPPUZHA: A police officer of Muhamma police station was found hanging. The dead is civil police officer Santhosh Kumar (45). He went home after night duty on Monday. His family informed the police station after he did not return home even on Tuesday evening.

A search conducted found him hanging on the closed terrace above the police station. His house is near the Muhamma Kappola School. He leaves behind his wife and two daughters. He is suspected to have committed suicide. The police said they will investigate whether there are other reasons behind his death.
