Cop, who returned home after Onam celebrations, collapses and dies

KOTTAYAM: A cop, who reached home after the Onam celebrations organized in the station, collapsed and died. The dead is Sathish Chandran (42) of Puthusserichira, a civil police officer of Kottayam East Station. Satish Chandran, who had gone home after actively participating in the programmes, collapsed at around 10 pm. He was then taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. Initial conclusion is that the cause of death was a heart attack.

A video of Sathish Chandran singing at the celebrations had garnered attention on social media. His colleagues, friends and family members are in shock over Sathish's untimely demise. After post mortem, the body was kept at the police station for paying homage.
