THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thiruvananthapuram District Sessions Court will consider the anticipatory bail plea of Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkootathil, who is facing investigation in a sexual abuse case, on December 3 (Wednesday). A special team led by Thiruvananthapuram city police commissioner Thomson Jose registered the case on her complaint and are investigating the case.

The Neyyattinkara Judicial First-Class Magistrate Court had yesterday recorded the woman’s secret statement. The police have registered a case for rape and forced abortion and are taking steps to arrest Rahul. Seven sections, including life imprisonment, have been charged against Rahul.

His car is in his flat in Palakkad. His phone is switched off. Police have issued look out notices at airports to prevent Rahul from fleeing abroad. SFI protested in Palakkad with a wanted poster against Rahul Mamkootathil.
