Crucial next three hours as monsoon intensifies in Kerala; warning issued

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department predicted a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms at isolated places in all districts of Kerala in the next three hours and strong winds with a speed of up to 40 kmph. A yellow alert has been issued for 11 districts today.

Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts are on yellow alert. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department informed that there is no restriction on fishing along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts today.

Due to this, the Meteorological Department informed that there is a possibility of rain in Kerala for the next seven days. The Indian Meteorological Department has stated that there is a possibility of isolated heavy rain from today to June 27.
