Defamatory remarks in name of Sabarimala gold theft: Police register case against K M Shahjahan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have registered a case against political analyst and YouTuber KM Shajahan for allegedly insulting ADGP S Sreejith. The case was filed by the Museum Police based on a complaint from the ADGP. According to the complaint, Shajahan made a YouTube video claiming that the ADGP had links to the Sabarimala gold theft case. The ADGP alleged that Shajahan made defamatory remarks against him in three such videos.

The FIR states that the remarks not only defamed the ADGP but also created disrespect toward the Police Department among the public. In September, Shajahan was arrested by the police in another case involving cyber abuse against CPM leader KJ Shine and Vypin MLA Unnikrishnan.
