PANDALAM: Devaswom Board President P S Prashanth said the expenses for the Global Ayyappa Sangamam will be met through sponsorship and CSR funds. He added that he hopes the Pandalam Palace will cooperate and that he has a good relationship with the palace management committee. He also asked why upset on Sabarimala’s revenue.
He clarified that the representatives of the palace have raised the demand for the withdrawal of the cases registered during Sabarimala agitation and have assured that they
will inform the concerned. The Devaswom Board has not filed any affidavit in the Supreme Court opposing the entry of women. The affidavit in favor was filed during Prayar Gopalakrishnan's tenure. Moreover, the Devaswom Board President clarified that for the last five years, all rituals were followed in Sabarimala.
Meantime, M R Suresh Verma, secretary of the Pandalam Palace Executive Committee, said that a decision will be taken next week regarding participation in the Global Ayyappa Sangamam. He added that there is a good relationship with the Devaswom Board.
