'Don't fall for fake news; free food for rescue workers in Bathery'; Mohanlal and Chef Pillai's FB post

KALPETTA: Actor Mohanlal in a Facebook post on Tuesday, requested people to not spread misinformation about Wayanad landslides. The veteran actor asked people to avoid travelling to the district and follow the government's instructions.

"Try to stay safe and alert in case of continued heavy rains and natural calamities. Follow government instructions completely and avoid travel as much as possible. Be careful not to spread fake news. Prayers for the dear brothers and sisters of Wayanad."

At the same time, Chef Pillai announced through Facebook that he would prepare food for around 1,000 people at Sanchari Restaurant in Bathery, mostly for rescue workers, media workers and disaster victims in Wayanad.

There are reports that the death toll in the landslide has crossed 60. Many people are missing. The injured are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
