'Education Minister’s tone threatening, statement not true'; Orthodox Church expresses protest

KOTTAYAM: The Orthodox Church came forward expressing protest over the reservation for the differently-abled in aided schools. Kottayam Diocese Bishop Yuhanon Mar Dioscorus told media that the schools are in a crisis. The seats mentioned by the government have been reserved for the differently-abled. The government also has the responsibility to implement the directions. Advertisements are being given for making appointments for the differently-abled. The Kottayam Diocese Bishop said that differently-abled candidates are not being found for many subjects.

He also criticized the education minister on the issue. The statements of the education minister are not true. Christian churches do not see this politically. The demands are not being raised as a protest. He added that the minister's statements have a threatening tone and is not understood ‘why’.
