CCTV clips from Kerala theatres on porn sites: Investigation drags on, report within 10 days

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cyber police's investigation into CCTV footage of KSFDC's theatres in Thiruvananthapuram, circulating on pornographic sites, is moving at a sluggish pace. Although a case was registered, there is yet no confirmation on whether the footages were hacked or leaked. The cyber police are seeking more IP addresses to confirm this. Further action will be taken only after the elections.

Some of the internet IP addresses that broadcast CCTV footage of KSFDC's Kairali, Nila and Sree theatres were found. However, police say this alone won’t be sufficient to progress with the case. The police demanded more details in the complaint filed by the KSFDC chairman. This is based on the internal investigation being conducted by the KSFDC MD. Minister Saji Cherian instructed that an investigation report be submitted within 10 days.
