Fell into hot payasam during wedding; Ayyappan's death while undergoing treatment for burns

MALAPPURAM: The man who accidentally fell into a payasam vessel during a wedding at a relative's house has died. Ayyappan (55), a resident of Pathoor Colony, Chelari, Malappuram, is the one who had the terrible fate. Ayyappan met with the accident last Saturday at a relative's house near the Pappanoor Shiva temple. Ayyappan was preparing payasam for the wedding reception when he accidentally fell into the vessel of hot payasam.

Ayyappan, who suffered serious burns, was immediately taken to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. He was confirmed dead this evening while undergoing treatment here. Ayyappan's wife is Saraswathi. Ayyappan was working as a bus driver at Velimukku AUP School in Thazhe Chelari.
