THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan abstained from the adjournment motion discussion related to the RSS-ADGP relationship. Speaker AN Shamseer informed the house about CM’s absence, citing fever and sore throat.

N Shamsuddin mentioned the absence of the Chief Minister during the discussion inviting angry clamours from ruling MLAs. The speaker incensed by the MLA’s taunt reasoned CM’s absence to be due to a sudden fever which he said was normal and could happen to anyone.

Shamsuddin replied that he was not making fun of the Chief Minister's illness but was only pointing out the Chief Minister's absence in such an important discussion.

Permission was granted to the adjournment motion moved by the opposition demanding discussion on the RSS-ADGP covert meeting. The Chief Minister told the opposition not to repeat the uproar-like situation witnessed on the first day of the assembly session.

Another controversy erupted on the second day when Minister MB Rajesh came forward against the opposition members. MB Rajesh said that the opposition's protest against the Speaker yesterday was a gross violation of discipline. Opposition leader V D Satheesan made his dissent palpable after warnings were issued to four opposition members immediately after Rajesh’s remarks. Four MLAs were warned for not following the etiquette and rules of the assembly.
