Fibre boat capsizes in Kannur; Kanyakumari native dead in Kerala

KANNUR: A fisherman died after a fibre boat capsized in Palakkode Chootad estuary. The deceased has been identified as Antony, a native of Kanyakumari. Two people who were seriously injured in the accident have been shifted to the hospital. The boat, which had gone fishing with nine people in the morning, met with an accident around 3 pm. The boat hit a sandbar at the mouth of the estuary and lost control. Six people swam to safety.

One person is still missing in the accident that occurred when the small boat capsized last night. Abraham, a native of Punchakkad, is missing. The search for him is ongoing.
