Film, serial actor Vishnu Prasad passes away due to liver ailments

KOCHI: Film and serial actor Vishnu Prasad passed away late last night at a private hospital in Ernakulam. He had been undergoing treatment for liver ailments for quite some time. He will be laid to rest tomorrow. Actor Kishore Satya revealed the news of his demise on Facebook.

The family was all set for Vishnu Prasad's liver transplant. His daughter was ready to donate her liver. He died when the family was trying to raise a huge amount for his treatment. He has acted in films like Mambazhakalam, Runway, Lion, Ben Johnson, Lokanathan IAS, Kashi, Kaiyethum Doorath and many serials.

He was an active member of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), Association of Television Media Artists (ATMA). ATMA had extended financial aid to his family as immediate relief.

He leaves behind his wife and has two daughters.
