First holiday of new academic year; educational institutions including professional colleges in these taluks will be closed tomorrow

ALAPPUZHA: The first holiday of the new academic year has been declared. Due to waterlogging following heavy rains, the District Collector has declared a holiday for all educational institutions including professional colleges in Kuttanad taluk and all educational institutions in Purakkad panchayat of Ambalappuzha taluk tomorrow. Along with this, a holiday has been declared for all schools operating camps in Alappuzha district on June 2. The holiday does not apply to previously scheduled exams.
