Four vehicles set on fire at BJP activist’s house

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Four vehicles parked in front of a house were burnt at night. The incident happened in front of the Pulimoottil Kadavu bridge in Chirayinkeezhu. An auto, two bikes and a scooty parked in the car shed of Babu (56), an auto driver and BJP activist, were burnt.


The house of Tintu, BJP candidate at Chirayinkeezhu 17th Ward, Babu's relative was also burnt in a similar manner a few days ago. The Chirayinkeezhu police conducted an investigation into the incident but did not find any evidence. In the meantime, the vehicles were found burnt in front of Babu's house.


The police have started an investigation into the incident. The police are investigating focusing on the CCTV cameras in the area. A few days ago, a person wearing a helmet came on a two-wheeler and asked if this was Babu's house and also asked for his phone number. An investigation will be conducted about him too. The fire force team arrived from Attingal immediately after the accident, but by then the vehicles had already burnt.
