THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary M V Govindan said there is no change in the CPM's stand on the PM Shri project. Kerala should also get PM Shri's money. The center has to give Kerala Rs 8000 crore in various projects. Kerala should get the money we deserve, said Govindan will addressing the media. He also clarified that the CPM is also opposed to the PM Shri project. The CPM is also against the PM Shri Project, he said.
‘There are only problems that can be solved now. The government has limitations. The government cannot implement the entire Left policy. The Left Front will move forward unitedly by handling all the problems. The issue with CPI will be discussed and resolved. Their criticism will be taken at face value. The Centre is taking a stand that affects states like Kerala by imposing conditions on all projects. A Congress-ruled state is the first in India to sign the PM Shri project. The central government's scheme has conditions that will lift financial sanctions on states like Kerala. The party is against such policy conditions,' said M V Govindan said.
Meantime, the CPI has hardened its stand against signing the PM Shri project without discussing it with the Left Front or the cabinet. Reports said the CPI ministers have informed the leadership that they are ready to take steps including resigning from the cabinet if the party leadership demands it.
