THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has announced a probe against IAS officer N Prasanth for insulting senior IAS officers on social media. The order in this regard was issued yesterday. Additional chief secretary Rajan Khobragade is the investigating officer. Principal Secretary Tinku Biswal is the presenting officer. Action is being taken against him after nine months of his suspension. Prasanth was suspended in last November.
Prasanth insulted the then additional chief secretary K Jayathilak and the director of the industries department K Gopalakrishnan. He accused them of criminal conspiracy, forgery and fabricating false documents. Prasanth known as ‘Collector Bro’ was suspended pending investigation. His suspension was later extended twice. The government lastly ordered an investigation against him. The government had earlier issued a charge memo against Prasanth. The government’s order said his response to this was not satisfactory. The order also said that his arguments cannot be accepted.
