THRISSUR: The surgery of actor Shine Tom Chacko, who was injured in a car accident behind a lorry in Dharmapuri near Salem, has been completed. The surgery was performed after installing a plate as he had three fractures above his left elbow. Due to this, Shine will have to wait three months to act in action scenes.
The surgery, which began at 8 am on Tuesday at Sun Hospital in Thrissur, was completed at 10 am. Then, after three hours of observation, Shine was shifted to the room. He will be discharged on Thursday or Friday. He will have to rest for six to eight weeks. The doctors have also advised him to start physiotherapy after a week.
Shine's mother Maria, who injured her hip in the accident, will have to remain in the hospital for another two weeks. The doctors have advised her to rest completely for six to eight weeks. Shine's father CP Chacko was killed in the accident that occurred early last Friday. Shine's surgery was performed today after CP Chacko's funeral on Monday.
