THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kadakampally Surendran MLA is seen publicly scolding a contractor for delay in the construction of Sreekaryam-Kallampally road. The MLA is heard telling the contractor that the pathetic condition of the road, which has been under construction for seven months, should be resolved. However, criticism is being raised on social media that the scolding with a microphone on his shirt is just a show with an eye on the elections.

‘If you don't finish the work quickly, you will have to stop the work and leave. Can you remove the mud from the road? Why didn't you cover the hole, and in how many days will the construction be completed? The mud on the road should be removed so that a vehicle can pass,' Kadakampally told the contractor.

The locals said that those who had not turned up for the last seven or eight months despite the road being in a bad condition suddenly made such a video eyeing the elections. However, Kadakampally Surendran responded that he had not gone there to reprimand the contractor and had come to assess the road construction. He thought that he could inform the people through a short video that the problem could be resolved in two days. Meanwhile, the MLA said that he had to talk to the contractor after seeing a pickup van stuck in the mud.
