KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has granted one more month for the investigation in the Sabarimala gold theft case. The case was considered by a division bench. The special investigation team had submitted the investigation progress report to the court. The case was considered again today at the end of the six-week’s time given for the investigation. The investigation team had informed the court that the investigation was not over and more time was needed. Considering this, an interim order was granted for one more month.
Meanwhile, the court said that an application can be filed with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to hand over documents related to the case. The application should be filed in the magistrate's court. The decision was after the ED filed a special plea. The ED had earlier approached the magistrate's court for documents related to the case, but there was no favorable order. They then approached the high court.
Meantime, the Kollam Vigilance Court rejected the bail plea of N Vasu, former Travancore Devaswom board president, arrested in the case.
