THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a possibility of heavy rain in Kerala in the coming days. The rain in the state is due to the reflection of the strong Cyclone Wipha affecting China and Vietnam. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that there will be heavy rain from Friday under the influence of Cyclone Wipha, which has hit southern China.
The very severe cyclonic storm Wipha will enter the Bay of Bengal as a cyclonic storm. It is believed that there is a possibility of a low-pressure area forming under its influence. The forecast says that there is a possibility of heavy and very heavy rain in Kerala in the coming days. The IMD has issued an orange and yellow alert in various districts till July 26.
An orange alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam and Thrissur on Friday, and on Saturday, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad. Today, a yellow alert has been declared in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod.
