KOCHI: The High Court has given a green signal to the Global Ayyappa Summit to be organised under the leadership of the state government. However, the court also issued some key directions for conducting the event. It stated that the accounts of income and expenses must be transparent, and the sanctity of Pampa should be protected.

The petitions were filed by M. Nandakumar, secretary of the Haindaveeyam Foundation from Kalamassery, and advocate Ajeesh Kalathil Gopi, arguing that the Ayyappa Summit was being conducted by the government. The verdict was delivered by the Devaswom Bench comprising Justice V. Raja Vijayaraghavan and Justice K.V. Jayakumar after completing the hearing.
