Human-Wildlife Conflict: Rehabilitation of victims will be ensured, says Justice Suryakant

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Supreme Court judge and National Legal Services Authority Executive Chairman Justice Suryakant said that the National Legal Services Authority is launching a new project with the aim of comprehensive rehabilitation of those affected by human-wildlife conflict.

He was inaugurating a regional conference at the Legislative Assembly under the auspices of the National Legal Services Authority and the Kerala Legal Services Authority to address human-wildlife conflict, challenges and concerns. He also inaugurated various schemes and the website of the National Legal Services Authority. Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court and Patron of the Kerala Legal Services Authority- Justice Nitin Jamdar, Supreme Court Judges Justice M.M. Sundaresh, Justice B.V. Nagaratna, Supreme Court Judge and Chairman of the SCLSC- Justice Vikram Nath, Kerala High Court Judge and Executive Chairman of the Kerala Legal Services-Justice A. Muhammad Mushtaq, Kerala High Court Judge Justice C.S. Dias, Minister P. Rajeev and Attorney General of India R. Venkataramani spoke.

Justice recites Vallathol's lines

Justice Suryakant described the landscape of Kerala by reciting a four-line poem by Vallathol, 'Pachayam viripitta sahyanil tala vachum'. He translated all four lines into English and mentioned them during his speech.
