THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is nearing a two-day visit to Kerala and it is a dilemma all over the state. The security plan prepared by state intelligence chief T K Vinod Kumar got leaked creating confusion all over. However now, a search found about the report getting leaked by someone within the city police itself. The report was sent to DGP, ADGP, IGs, and range DIGs. The security plan was also sent to the Thiruvananthapuram city police commissioner. The commissioner distributed the same to inspector-ranked officers in the city from where the report got leaked.
As per reports, confidential reports and plans getting leaked from city police have turned a routine. During Sabarimala women's entry skirmish, the details and plans prepared were leaked which got the ire of the authorities during that time. The central government has asked the state to take action following the Officials Secrets ACT and arrest the official who went a tad ahead with the devious games. The intelligence is teaming up with the state cyber wing to find out the culprit behind the security breach.
Intelligence also fears a repetition of the Fumio Kishida incident in Japan. The Japanese prime minister was hurled a pipebomb by one young man disguised as a supporter but the security officials acted swiftly to shield the PM to a safe space. Minding this, the Kochi road show led by Modi will be ferociously guarded by officials.
PM Modi’s Kerala visit will be the first after the central government's banning of Islamic extremist organizations including PFI. The party earlier vowed to end up the reign of Modi and the intelligence officials in the country are not ready to snub away the issue in disregard.
