THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The DGP's investigation report on the complaints against ADGP MR Ajith Kumar has been handed over to the Home Secretary. It is learned that there are references against the ADGP in the report. Apart from PV Anvar's allegations, the report also mentions about the ADGP-RSS meeting. The DGP will meet the Chief Minister in person and apprise him of the findings of the report. The report will be crucial in replacing Ajith Kumar.

There are indications that action will be taken as the report has been received. On the complaint raised by PV Anvar MLA, the chief minister had directed to complete the investigation against the ADGP and submit a report within a month. The Chief Minister had said that a decision on removing the ADGP from the post would be taken after the report comes out. Therefore, it is indicated that a crucial decision will be taken tomorrow.

Ajith Kumar's meeting with RSS leaders had triggered a major political controversy. The opposition alleges that the ADGP met RSS leaders on behalf of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. There was also criticism in the LDF over the incident. Ajith Kumar met RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale on May 22, 2023. The ADGP had also met Ram Madhav on June 2. However, Ajith Kumar told the investigating team that the meeting was a personal one.
