MALAPPURAM: AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal said P V Anvar issue will be discussed with the leaders of the state. He said that no one has any intention of staining Anwar and that a decision will be taken only after much thought.

'I did not listen in detail to what Anwar said. I was in a meeting. I don’t know what has happened. Did not hold any discussions with the opposition leader. All the issues should be resolved. Why did the Nilambur by-election come?

The reason for the by-election is following the resignation of P V Anvar against the mismanagement of the Kerala government. Only after holding talks with the leaders here can say anything about the Anvar issue. The election is being held there after he resigned. The common stand of the UDF and the Congress is to respect that. No one in the UDF has any intention of isolating him,' said K C Venugopal.

Anvar had earlier come forward alleging that the UDF had not kept its promise. They have not yet responded to the demand of inducting him. Only Kunhalikutty supported it. Anwar also said that he is not going to beg to the UDF anymore. He also said that he has hope only on K C Venugopal.
