Jayaram clarified that his relationship with the main accused in the case, Unnikrishnan Potty, began in Sabarimala. The actor stated that Potty had visited his house several times for poojas. Jayaram told the investigation team that he was not aware of Potty's financial dealings or fraud. Jayaram will be made a witness in the case.
Jayaram had earlier said that it was Potty who told him that he would bring the golden sheets from Sabarimala and perform puja at home because he knew that he is an Ayyappa devotee. He attended the pooja of the door frames at Smart Creation as per Potty’s invitation. Had also attended the procession of the door frames when brought to Elampally temple in Kottayam.
