KOCHI: The Kerala Judicial Officers Association has approached the High Court seeking its intervention in the cyber attack and personal attack against the trial court judge in the actress case. The association's president T Madhusoodanan has said in a petition that the campaign against the judge is damaging the reputation of the judicial system. The association demands that court action be taken.

"Social media platforms should be instructed to remove defamatory content. The defamatory campaign is using the judge's photo. Judges have no platform to respond to criticism. Interference in court proceedings is contempt of court. The tendency to criticise the judge when the verdicts are released is crossing all limits. Some lawyers are also joining in."

The petition also points out the social media post by the President of the High Court Advocates Association regarding the anonymous letter about the alleged leak of the verdict in the actress assault case. Comments from dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi and actress Parvathy Thiruvoth are also included in the petition.
