KANNUR: Senior congress leader and former KPCC chief K Sudhakaran said that he does not think removing him from the KPCC chief’s post is a natural change. While talking to a media, he said that he was not informed about the appointments of working presidents.
'I have activists with me, there are people who are even ready to give their lives. They will reciprocate at any time. Experienced individuals should be considered for leadership posts. If I say more, it will be an insult to the leaders. I am an experienced leader. I did not get protection from the leadership. Sunny Joseph was appointed after considering my opinion. However, should ask the leaders whether the way I was removed was right,' said K Sudhakaran.
Sunny Joseph took office as the new KPPC president recently. Adoor Prakash MP took charge as the UDF convener, and P C Vishnunath MLA, A P Anil Kumar MLA and Shafi Parambil MP took charge as the KPCC working presidents.
‘The Congress Unit Committee (CUC) could not be completed. I am entrusting that to Sunny. Was able to achieve a good victory in the local body by-elections. Leaving the post is not an issue. The workers are my strength. I will be there as a warhorse against the CPM.
My style is no compromise with the administration. My stance will not change with those with irattu chanku (double hearted). I thank Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi for appointing me to the working committee. Sunny Joseph is my younger brother. I am proud of Sunny's political achievements,’ Sudhakaran said after stepping down.
