THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A bus and a crane collided on the Peroorkada - Nedumangad road on Tuesday. The KSRTC bus was going from Thiruvananthapuram to Vithura.

The KSRTC bus collided with a crane that was involved in the renovation work of the Vazhayila-Pazhakutty four-lane road. The accident occurred on the bend between Vazhayila and Enikkara.

The extended part of the crane crashed into the front glass of the bus.

The crane driver suffered minor injuries. Accidents have become a normal occurrence due to unscientific arrangements used in the construction of the four-lane highway. The incident took place at around 2:45 pm. Following the accident, traffic on the Thiruvananthapuram-Tenkashi state highway was disrupted for half an hour. No passengers in the bus were injured.
