KANNUR: Former district committee member V Kunhikrishnan, who was expelled from the CPM for his revelation in connection with the martyrs' fund scam, has sought police protection in the Kerala High Court. The plea filed sought protection at the book launch to be held on February 4. Kunhikrishnan approached the high court after receiving constant threat messages.
The name of his book is ‘Nethruthathe Anikal Thiruthanam’. The book with 96 pages and having 16 chapters severely criticizes the CPM leaders. The book says that CPM leaders have become beneficiaries of crony capitalism. The leadership shamelessly uses organizational principles to protect criminals. The book also says that Payyannur MLA T I Madhusoodanan follows the style of a bourgeois political leader.
The book primarily deals with financial irregularities including the martyrs fund fraud and its detailed accounts. Along with this, the book sharply criticizes the party leadership. The state leadership has succeeded in stripping the CPM of its communist character and turning it into an ordinary electoral party. The leaders became the beneficiaries of crony capitalism. The book says that one could even prepare a thesis by studying them.
The chapter ends with the title ‘Party Pravarthanathinte Andhyam'. At the end, the book is dedicated to the blazing memory of comrade V S Achuthanandan, who courageously fought against injustices within the party and in the society.
