Left candidate not confirmed in Thrikkakara; LDF stops writing on the wall

KOCHI: The LDF has stopped writing on the wall after the party leaders did not confirm that KS Arunkumar will be the Left candidate in Thrikkakara. It is learned that the name of the candidate has been removed in some places. The decision will be announced after the Left Front meeting on Thursday. LDF convener EP Jayarajan and minister P Rajeev said that the candidate decision has not been completed. The LDF convener said that there were procedures to be followed for announcing the candidate. Minister P Rajeev responded that the party was only thinking about deciding the candidate.

The LDF is fighting in Thrikkakara with the hashtag 'Urappanu 100, urappanu Thrikkakara'. Meanwhile, UDF candidate Uma Thomas said that the LDF would be kept at 99. KS Arunkumar, former DYFI district secretary, is well known to the people through channel discussions. Arun, a law graduate, is currently practicing in the High Court.
