Major IAS reshuffle: New department for Sharmila Mary, Keshvendra Kumar made LSG Secretary; additional charges for many

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Change in the IAS heads in the state. Dr. Sharmila Mary Joseph, Principal Secretary, Local Self-Government Department, has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development Department. She has also been given additional charge of the Higher Education Department. Finance Secretary Keshavendra Kumar is the new LSG Secretary.

Public Relations Secretary S Harikishore has been given the additional charge of NORKA. He has been given the charge of Chief Minister's Officer on Special Duty and Director of Loka Kerala Sabha. Mir Mohammed Ali, Director of Industries and Commerce Department, has been appointed as MD of Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC). He has also been given the additional charge of Special Secretary of Local Self-Government Department. TV Anupama will continue as Special Secretary of Local Self-Government. She has also been given the additional charge of Waste Management. P Vishnuraj, Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department, is the new Director of Industries and Commerce Department. He also has the additional charge of Director of Sports and Secretary of Sports Council.

Seeram Sambasiva Rao, Principal Director, Local Self-Government Department, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Electronics and Information Technology Department. He has been given the charge of Special Secretary, Environment Department and Director of Survey and Land Records Department. Haritha V Kumar, Director, Women and Child Development, has been given the additional charge of Principal Director, Local Self-Government Department.

C Chitra has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Finance (Expenditure) Department. V Sriram, Director, Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Department, will continue as MD, Kerala Financial Corporation. Anie Jula Thomas, Officer on Special Duty, Industries Department, has been given the additional charge of MD, KTDFC. IT Mission Director Sandeep Kumar has been given the full additional charge of Remote Sensing and Environmental Center. Sabin Hameed is the new Director of Minority Welfare Department.
