Man dies in wild boar attack; four persons killed in wild animal attacks this month

THRISSUR: Yet another person was killed in a wild animal attack in the state. A man died after being attacked by a wild boar in Varavoor in Thrissur. The deceased has been identified as Thali native Rajeev (61). Rajeev was standing on the premises of his house when a wild boar attacked him. The incident happened at around 4 pm today.

Rajeev was picking coconuts near the house when the wild boar hit him on the chest. The wild boar continued to attack Rajeev even after knocking him down. It was the locals who rushed the injured Rajeev to a private hospital. However, his life could not be saved. The body will be shifted to Thrissur Medical College for post-mortem.
