Man killed after speeding van crashes into house in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: In a shocking incident, a pickup van rammed into a house killing one person on Saturday. Ubaidullah (52), a native of Kulashekarapathy, is the victim. On Saturday noon, Ubaidullah was sitting on the verandah of his friend Ayub Khan’s house, engaging in idle talks.

Out of nowhere, a pickup van rammed into the house breaking the gate and crashing into a car that was parked on the porch. In the sudden panic, Ubaidullah stumbled and was caught between the car and the wall.

The pick-up van entered the house by breaking the walls. There were three people in the house at the time of the accident. Seeing the pickup van coming, two men fled. But Ubaidullah could not escape.

Locals rushed Ubaidullah to a nearby hospital but his life could not be saved. The pick-up van also hit a bike before crashing into the house.
