
SABARIMALA: A total of Rs 92 crore reached the Devaswom coffers during the first 15 days of the Mandala–Makaravilakku pilgrimage season in Sabarimala. This is the figure from November 16 to 30. Last season, it was Rs 69 crore during the same period. The highest income came from the sale of Aravana, Rs 47 crore. Last season, it was Rs 32 crore.
Rs 3.5 crore was received from the sale of appam. Last year, the amount was almost the same. Rs 26 crore was received as donations. Last year, it was Rs 22 crore. Till November 30, about 13 lakh pilgrims completed darshan at the holy abode.
