Massive fire breaks out at footwear factory in Pookottoor; Rescue operations continue

MALAPPURAM: A major fire broke out at a footwear factory in Pookkottur Myladi. Firefighters from various units are bringing the fire under control. The cause of the fire is unclear. The fire is being brought under control by the fire department and locals. It is reported that there were no casualties. Efforts are underway to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby houses and other places.

Locals noticed a fire breaking out in the godown of the footwear factory a short time ago. They immediately informed the fire department and the locals joined hands to put out the fire. It is reported that the fire started in the rubber factory. The fire then spread to many parts and the fire department has been trying to put it out from both sides.
