Minister pays heed to boy’s demand to serve biriyani and chicken fry, menu in Anganwadi to be revised

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister Veena George has intervened in in the video of the child who demanded to serve biriyani and chicken fry in Anganwadi instead of Upma. Minister Veena George said the food menu in the Anganwadi will be revised considering Shanku's request.

The boy’s innocent request is being accepted. Various types of food are being provided through Anganwadi to ensure nutrition to children. During this government's tenure, a scheme to provide eggs and milk through Anganwadi was implemented and it is being successfully executed.

Local bodies are providing various types of food in Anganwadi on their own under the coordination of the women and child development department. The minister said the food menu will be reviewed after considering Shanku's opinion. The minister conveyed his warm greetings to Shanku, his mother and the employees of Anganwadi.
