Minister Saseendran announces law amendment to control wild animals

THRISSUR: Minister AK Saseendran said that an amendment to the law is under consideration to prevent the proliferation of wild animals. He was inaugurating the state-level Wildlife Week celebration at Puttur Zoological Park.

During the event, the transfer of animals from Thrissur Zoo to Puttur Park took place. Three peacocks were moved to a cage by Ministers K Rajan, AK Saseendran and R Bindu. The inauguration and switch-on of the KSEB substation in the park were carried out by Minister K Krishnankutty.

Minister Saseendran handed over the key of the vehicle allotted to the Central Circle Thrissur by the Forest Department to Central Circle Chief Conservator KR Anup. Veterinary University Vice-Chancellor Dr R Keerthy received the agreement from M R Saseendranath. A logo release for the Peachy Forest Division, Peachy Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary, Chulannur Peacock Sanctuary and Chimney Wildlife Sanctuary also took place.

Minister K Radhakrishnan participated online, and TN Prathapan MP and Mayor MK Varghese were the chief guests. MLAs ET Tyson, Saneesh Kumar Joseph, District Panchayat President PK Davis, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Forests and Wildlife KR Jyotilal and others also participated.
